Another benefit of the tariff's......the canadian dollar and mexican peso crashed bigly after the tariff announcement.....thus meaning the American dollar has more buying power now.

This is what big league, hardball negotiation looks like. It's a definite step up from the amateur he replaced. Poker face and don't flinch.

I still don't understand how increasing my gasoline and food costs, or my son paying an extra 10 or 50 plus thousand for building materials coming from Canada for this shop and house, will stop the flow of illegal aliens or drugs across the border.

I have posted this before, but to stop the people from coming, stop making it economically beneficial to immigrate illegally. I'd go as far as to give them exactly what an illegal American in their country would receive.

How about use the trees we have here !!!! Tree huggers have our forest's so screwed up with dead set on saving every tree out there, there is an ungodly amount of lumber on our government land and the clearing of it helps the animals but they don't understand that.

Oil is exempt from tariffs.

Less people buying Mexican stuff, albiet through market manipulation, will reduce the demand for the imported product, and make the local product more cost effective. Hence more comes from America.

But this was always about stopping the flow of fentanyl, illegals, and the fact that they owe us money.
