If he stays in office get ready for the lawsuits to start flying. How can he legally be removed from the ballot I’d the states the deadline has passed?

It depends on state law but I believe generally an elector can vote for the party, not the person. But again, each state has separate laws on how to handle it.

I believe the safe harbor date is December 17, 2024 so if there are going to be any lawsuits, they will to be settled quickly after the election.
