In a razor thin Republican majority in the HOR...its no surprise they could vote this RINO out. It took 15 votes to get him the nomination, and he agreed to certain promises to get the votes and he never lived up to them. Good riddance

This is a good thing in the long run...

Dem's are already approaching moderate republicans to vote for Hakeen Jeffries. We are going to lose the house now.

What did he did? Create chaos? This will not help the Republican Party. I don’t understand the end game. Time will tell

They keep telling us that to scare us so we don;t hope for any change, just like they threaten us with a "government shutdown". Fine, let 'em shutdown. How is it goint to get much more chaotic than it already is? It's a crap show anyway. They keep saying, "we should be fighting the Democrats, not each other", well sometimes you gotta get the dead weight out of the way so you can fight. It's is a risky move, hopefully it works out, but we weren't going anywhere with the way things were.

I hope it's the latter. But if it's not, things won't be that different. When the uniparty is in control, it doesn't really matter which one of them it is. They've been telling us that we need to save the fight until after the next election for decades. They always say, "We're with you, but now isn't the time to stir things up. But after the next election......"

BS. They won't ever do the right thing on their own. I'm glad to see Gaetz and them actually fighting back on our behalf. If they lose, they lose. We're losing already anyway. But what if they win?
The Republican party loves to lose. Snatching defeat from the jaw of victory and whatnot.

I just heard Trumps name being floated for Speaker.

If Cornyn is upset with it, then Gaetz & company are on the right track!

Interesting news. Temp Speaker of the house Rep. Patrick McHenry evicted Pelosi from her private office in the WH while she was away in Cali. Why could he not have done this while she was in DC and on the house floor in front of everyone. She is butt hurt bigly but it could have been even more BIGLY. Anyway it was a huge smack down.

I have to admit, I’m shocked Gaetz got this done before he could be disciplined. And while it is refreshing to see someone step up & step out and have some nuts, I am deeply concerned this backfires. And I don’t have that fear because the RNC is pushing the narrative, that concern is rooted in who I know the Dems to be and who the Rs to be. You can rest assured the Dems didn’t side with Gaetz so a MORE conservative speaker could be chosen. The Dems vote as a bloc, the Rs are fractured. The likelihood Rs break rank and vote with the Dems is far more likely than the Rs coalescing and picking a new leader for themselves.

My thoughts exactly. While everyone claps for this, there is a deal being done behind the scenes thats going to be worse for America..

This is most likely 100% accurate. But it is also how we got in this situation. No one wants to rock the boat because they fear the next option to be worse. It has to start somewhere, and I'll applaud this regardless of the outcome. If he can set a precedent, and it starts a following by others, it will be better than continuing down the same old path we're on.
