Following politics is becoming more entertaining than watching Netflix.
It's almost as if it's a theatre show and the audience (myself included) can't recognize it from the cheap seats.

The Globe Trotters (D's) always end up winning in the end but them durn Generals (R's) really get close sometimes.

It would be nice if a person like Jim Jordan ends up being the Speaker but this looks like the Texas Dade Phelan deal. All the Dems vote one way and a couple of Republicans cross the aisle to clinch the deal by siding with the Dems.

If McCarthy was so bad for the Republicans and so helpful to the Dems, why did they unanimously vote to get rid of him?

The Democrats are hoping that they can buy a handful of liberal Republican votes so that they can get Jeffries in as Speaker. The RINOs will either take off their costumes, expose who they really are, and side with the Democrats, or they'll be drug kicking and screaming to the right and side with Gaetz and the handful of actual conservatives to elect a conservative Speaker.

I hope it's the latter. But if it's not, things won't be that different. When the uniparty is in control, it doesn't really matter which one of them it is. They've been telling us that we need to save the fight until after the next election for decades. They always say, "We're with you, but now isn't the time to stir things up. But after the next election......"

BS. They won't ever do the right thing on their own. I'm glad to see Gaetz and them actually fighting back on our behalf. If they lose, they lose. We're losing already anyway. But what if they win?
