I shot a vane off 9 different arrows while shooting with a WB. They are as accurate as the shooter allows it to be. I had zero problems while using it for 4 years on the same bow.

I used a WB on my first 2 bows and I loved it. I did have problems with both plastic and feather fletchings. I have a "capture" drop away now but will change before hunting season. I will either go back to WB or try another capture rest. I had no problem with noise on the WB.

The Bohning vanes hold up well with the WB.

I have used one for years. Put a small amount of glue on the end of the vane and you wont have any fletching problems.

Interesting thread. Shot RipCord, QAD, SpottHogg Whammys, Limbsaver, & G5 Expert. Will either go back to RipCord or try out a WB. Dropaways are great if they are timed properly. My RipCord had contact until I tweaked the thing (very easy to do!)

used the biscuit several years ago but went to the rip cord which is not as loud and still keeps the arrow in place for me

I use the octane hostage pro and it is great, it is a great alternative to the WB!

I must be going deaf when it comes to sound coming off a WB. Anybody who thinks they're noisy need to consider all the noise being made by you, your stand, the trees, the grass, leaves. other animals and the list goes on.

When I draw, I usually hear the velcro in my release, my coat, shirt, boots on the stand or ground, and depending on how long I've sat still I hear my joints pop and I might grunt or moan in pain.

I can't think of a time I've ever spooked a deer or hog I could attribute to what ever noise the WB makes.

So it looks like I have to post again about how to fix the noise of the wb. Everyone put moleskin on your drop away to keep it quiet during the draw. Do the same with the WB. Buy the large hole wb if you are shooting carbons. Turn your cock vane up just as the instruction say. Then put the moleskin across the wb just as in the pic below.

Or you could buy a quiet rest! I liked the concealment of the wb but the noise was not worth the trade off. I would recomend a new drop away with a concealment/barrier on it.

WB is the best rest ever made in my opinion. I am all for the keep it simple stupid concept. I've used the biscuit for years and really don't understand the noise issue that some claim. As far as speed, who cares about 2-3fps. This rest has been around and proven itself to be a great rest. I would recommend it to anyone.

I have the WB and I love it. It has worked great for me and I haven't had the noise problem some of the other guys have mentioned.
