Oops, again, so that you don't go off on another unfounded tangent as you clearly seem to do.

Only you have drawn a traditional reference.
I guess you didn't type the "loin cloth and recurve" shot either? You know what you said and who you said it about...you can hide from many here with the vagueness of your statements but I read the article you referenced and know what kind of bow the man you attacked shoots.

You should definitely continue to paint me as the "bad guy" who's just stirring the pot though...much better idea for your agenda than just having a civil discussion about how bowhunters feel.

Again, Joey, back off the traditional hypersensitivity and ridiculous accusations. You'll be much better received if you stick to facts instead of grasping at unfounded divisiveness.

Joey, you are the only one who's made any traditional archer reference in our dialouge. I dearly hope that you can admit this, otherwise, you've clearly lost focus of this discussion.
Again, if you cannot see this, then there is no reason to continue dialog....... MAN.

Devin and Timan, you have made this post your personal arena. Please take a step back and move on as you both said you would do. Is this horse dead yet?

You're right, Dev...I read too much into your words...probably my insecurity stemming from comparing my equipment choice to your SUPERBOW that's gonna create so much NEW opportunity and SAVE the entire hunting community!

              Heck, you never attacked anyone.

You never called any group elitist.

Most bowhunters agree with you...but it shouldn't matter if they didn't...after all, you know what's best.

This has all been a bad dream...good night.

The key to the growth of hunter numbers(revenue for TPWD) is safe, reasonable, and "enjoyable" hunting access. Allowing the crossbow into the archery only season is not that key.

My son needs Advair, that doesn't mean that I should be able to take it too. If I have a prescription, yes, but just because I want to? Nope.

I thought it was funny when a guy at work said that I hunt with a "loin cloth". I can't do that though here in Indiana due to the weather in Nov.ha,ha,ha. If it isn't done during the early archery season but done in the firearms season or a late archery season would it be wrong. I asked this ealier but nobody replied to to it there was just garble back and forth(don't get bent, I just askin).

well, gotta put in my .02cents........u anti crossbow people should wear a patch on ur shirt that says "PETA" cause thats whatu sound like, i shoot a crossbow, bow, and a 30-30,do i think it should be aloud in archery season, well yes i do.........why, well, my bolt can be considered a arrow, its not packed with powder to make it fly, it use kinetic energy, jus like a bow, BUT DO I REALLY CARE IF I USE IT IN ARCHERY SEASON..no, i can use it in general season, kool, AT LEAST I GET A SEASON TO USE IT IN, theres still a few states that dont let ppl use them at all yet.....

well finally, someone I can disagree with and have a few on my side(just joking). I think there is a far difference in a bow hunter wanting to keep a certain style of hunting out of there season than being associated with PETA. I annually kill deer with a bow, shotgun, and or muzzleloader, some years with all three, and some years just with one weapon.
I could very much see why people would not want to have crossbows in an early archery or general archery season(what ever you state chooses to call it). Crossbows can be pre-drawn and held with out any hand held aid or with the fingers which gives them an extreme advantage over a bow and arrow. With this said though, I do believe they should be allowed in a firearms season because they are a shoulder fired weapon, and in the late season considering there are fewer hunters in the woods and it would help with the selling of late season tags that sometimes go un bought and not taking advantage of. I choose to use a longbow or recurve, this doesn't mean I think that compound bows(**** compounders,ha,ha,ha) should not have the same season as me. I just choose to use this style of archery cause if something breaks or goes bad on my bow like strings($15) or arrow rest($1.50) I do not break the bank replacing it. I would be lying if I did not find some romantic or nastolgic feeling when hunting with a longbow or recurve, but the lines stated before hand is the real reason I choose to shoot what I choose to shoot.
