What does a .45 sound like when fired in your neighbors house?

I have to admit. I am shocked there was no blood. But there was a clear hole through the side molding of the bedroom door, and no slug in the house. 3 shots, and only 2 slugs recovered. They used a laser to figure out where the slug should have been and it is about waist high. The intruder started screaming after that shot.....45 slug and a ton of splinters right in the butt are my guess.

Me too, and a Golden Retriever that's well on his way to being bigger than the lab. They both sound vicious, but if you ever made it inside, they would both gladly show you where all our valuables are and probably even help carry them to the car for ya.

What a horrible situation to find yourself in. I'd be packed and moved by noon. It's good you aren't pushing your wife to learn to shoot; if she isn't willing to shoot to kill she could be arming them instead. I wish you and your family luck with the situation at hand.

My choc would not stop barking until she knew that I was ok with the person...then they better be ready to have a nose thrust into their groin or butt......I can't break her of that habit, but it is sure fun to watch!!!!

It can happen any time anywhere and it is best to be prepared for anything. A inside dog really helps though.

                  Jesse,

I don't know if you watch the local news or not. Kansas City Missouri has more shootings daily than there is in Houston. It seems like everyday there is at least one, and many times more.
Too bad your neighbor was not a better shot. Jackson County and Wyandotte County (Kansas Side) are not the best counties around.
Your wife will be okay. Just make sure she knows where the sidearms are at and how to use them. Then again a Big Ol' 12 Gauge will ALWAYS get someones attention.....
                  I sent you a PM

Well it DID go through the door frame first....GEESH...

Sorry to hear this Jesse. Guess you guys need to high tail it back to Texas. You haven't been there that long from what I remember.

Yeh, Glenn. We saw that and Grandview looks like that. We were warned. But not out here in Lee's Summit. There was only like 1 murder in the past 5 years for a town of 70,000

Dang man, that is nutz! Teach your wife how to protect herself with some handgun lessons.

Jesse I am glad ya'll are ok. Time for an alarm! Oh and does she still not want a firearm in the house?

You definitely need an alarm but get her some buckshot for a 12 or a 20 gauge. I bet though the lead in the *** will keep them out of your neighborhood

Let us know if they ever locate the suspect, I tried searching the net but unable to locate anything.

Time for Guard Dog, and/or an Alarm system.

With a .45 wound in them,
I doubt they will be back anytime soon...
