Best Boudin in Port Arthur Area?

Well…I guess I didnt know they had frozen, smoked boudin. Who knew? You did!

Not frozen. They don’t sell it at any Walmarts that I have seen but Walmart sells the regular. HEB and Market Basket sell the smoked and smoked jalapeño also. Apparently they have a different sales contract. When I get smoked Boudin at my local Market Basket, I can literally turn around and grab packages of the smoked DJ’s from there refrigerator section. I typically get both at the same time and eat the Market Basket with an a day or two while it’s fresh and then have the vacuum sealed DJ’s smoked, which will last a few weeks.

Smoked DJ’s can also be picked up fresh in a case at the factory in Beaumont with 20 links per case. Those cases have the option of loose packed or in two link vacuum packs. I never really pay attention when I’m shopping at stores over sales tax but I know when you buy a case of regular or smoked at the DJ’s factory, it is sales tax free.
