During rec this year my daughter was asked to play on 4 different select teams....we are really on the fence about it. Talked to several parents and many are unhappy with the travel and time talked to some who said their daughters are completely burnt out and won't play softball in highschool now.
That said we've talked to several that enjoy it but said they have to be very intentional about letting the girls take a break from it. My daughter is a catcher and has done very well the last couple of years in rec and this year they have had her start pitching as well. Not sure what we will do but I love watching her behind the plate.

Took home second in Houston. Started off bad losing the first game on Saturday. Come back through the losers bracket to take home second in Sunday.

My daughter plays 10u for the next level bandits out of bertram. Very exciting to watch. They play a lot and love it. Took 1st in red oak last weekend

My daughter been playing select since 10u. She finished her high school career a couple of weeks back and has signed to pitch at Cisco in the fall. Select ball was a fun ride that I got to take with her as asst coach on a lot of her teams. The friends and lessons she made over the years mean so much to her and our family.

My buddy's daughter is finishing up her Sr season at Richland HS, and signed to go play for Cisco College in the fall.

My oldest is playing 8U league ball this year and we’ve all had fun. Not sure if we’ll do select or travel. She was pretty shy and timid before playing and it has brought her out of her shell quite a bit. I’ve really loved seeing her progression throughout the season.

Mine just finished up her first year of 12U rec. She usually bats the number two or one spot, mainly because of her on base average. Never thought my sweet little girl would be that aggressive at the plate.

Now if I could just get her to field the ball better.

We are playing this weekend in Denison for the 8 Legged Freaks Tournament. We'll be in the 10u division, which is currently holding 16 teams. Will be a great test for our girls, but they are salty.. so should be fun.

We were in Temple this past weekend and headed to Frisco tournament Oct 21-22. My daughter should be in 12u but is playing 14u. She started in 8u. I love it but am getting tired of traveling now.
