Well I figure the in-ground garden is toast. It looks like a lake. Got another 2” of rain and high winds we didn’t need. Trouble is it fell in less than 45 minutes. Rain gauge said it was falling at 3.87”/hour. Haven’t been out to look.

All of my green bean plants blew over in the high winds last night. A few big tomato branches broke off. I am going to try to save the beans with a trellis this afternoon.

Pretty frustrating as I was planning on starting to pick beans in the next few weeks.

White spots on cukes and squash, what is it?

Don't think powdery mildew. Thinking possible angular leaf spot. Maybe I'm worrying about nothing.

Are any of you guys using fox farms liquid fertilizers? I grabbed some grow big a few weeks ago and using it every other watering. I can tell a huge difference in the heath of my plants.

Is there a fungus among us?

This a couple of my red potato tubs that are sitting next to each other. They haven’t flowered yet so I don’t think they’ve matured yet.
              Is this a fungus?
              Can it be treated?
How can I stop the spread?
How do I prevent it from happening again?

Trying to clean these guys out of my rows. Dont remember planting these at all at least not the past 12 months but they started popping up in perfect rows so i let them go. Look like pearl onions or something. Could probably make about 20 more bundles like these. Just not sure what to do with them except add them to soups.

Pickle them with some fresh jalps.

Does anyone have a plastic mulcher? I’m really considering buying one to help limit the weed work I have to do in my garden. I’m very curious on how good they work pros and cons. What brand you recommended ect.

Chris, the best thing we ever did to eradicate weeds in our garden was to cover the plots completely with silage tarps in the Fall after cleaning out the plots and peeping them for Spring planting. We have ZERO weeds this year!! Only thing coming up besides what we planted is a few nut grass sprigs. Dangdest thing I ever saw!!

You mean like one of these? I have been considering myself.

                            The micro-growers swear by it

I mainly have nut grass, at least that’s the biggest headache. Where did you get your tarps? I’ve started adding some but man I need some massive ones!

I got mine from Hoss Tools (https://hosstools.com/product/silage-tarp-40-x-50/). I bought 40 x 50 footers last year. I had gotten some scrap material from one of my customers that manufactures pit liners. His material was 20 mil thick. It worked great, but it was so dang heavy, I couldn't move it easily in large pieces (50 x 50) I cut it up in smaller pieces so I could handle it. That didn't work well because it took a LOT of rocks/bricks/timbers, etc. to keep the wind from blowing it around. I finally gave up and just bought the Hoss tarps. They're 6 mil, are durable and still light enough I can fold/unfold and drag them around myself. My wife and I can move them around pretty easy and they don't take near as many anchors to keep them down.
                                Good luck!
