Our farm is about 50 miles east of Barksdale AFB and we see the B52"s flying . Before closing, England AFB was south of us and the A10 Warhogs use to fly low and down the pipelines regularly.

Had 4 jets in formation fly over Lubbock the other day. Haven't seen that in years.

I have seen more Black Hawks flying around in the last week than I ever have.

I havent been watching any news or following politics since they stole the midterms....but all this balloon, ufo and increased military training might drag me back into it.

In fact i didnt understand what the hell was so funny about mitchells balloon comment till i read the ufo thread and saw we shot down a chinese balloon.

I lived near the A10 gun range in Woodworth LA. They would shoot at night sometimes and its one of the most hauting sounds you will ever hear.

My grandparents lived between Glenmora and Elizabeth, La, a little community call Plainview. A10s would be on flying manuvers on a regular basis. It was pretty impressing for a kid. Very loud! Many times they would bank over their house and be so low you could see the pilot.

If you look for red cars, you'll see red cars.

Not saying there isn't an increase but once you start looking, you'll see more.

We are 38 miles from Dyess AFB and see lots of air traffic daily.

Not sure it's increased lately or not but planes are flying.

I love to hear our military turning tax dollars into that "sound of freedom".

If they are F-16s, they may be Texas National Guard air wings - training away from San Antonio? I have spotted several F-16s on flight patterns that take them up to the NW from San Antonio. I live in Boerne.

Glad to see them working overhead.

Jan. is when new classes kick off. I used to be the fire chief at Victoria regional airport it was a designated training strip for several bases around the state military air traffic would always kick up this time of year.

I used to live in Eleck "Alexandria" close to the air base. I watched those A-10's daily. One of my neighbors was a pilot.
