I’ve been 10 yrs remote. Been awesome experience. I know for fact that I have grown a better relationship with kids and wife, don’t see myself going back.

I work from home full time. Has its pros and cons. Worth it or not depends on you and employer. I have a lot of freedom. As long as I’m handling my end of things I can pretty much do as I please.
Downsides for me are:
Hard to turn off of “work mode”. If I’m laying in bed and something that needs to be done pops in my head, I can’t sleep until I get up and do it.
Some weeks your house will start to feel like a prison.
I love it overall and it’s been great for my little family. I don’t think It would be worth it if your employer tracked you like many do.

I run our east coast and international sales teams. I work from home but am on the road 2-3 weeks a month. I loved being a road warrior till I had kids, now I can’t tell you how excited I was to get back a day early last week (thurs at midnight instead of fri at 5) since I leave town again Tuesday morning.
The nice thing is when I’m in town I get to take my girls to daycare every day. Working from home has its pros and cons but I’ll say my company gets a lot more out of me remote than they do when I’m at the office, less distractions and bs’n with everyone

I’ve been remote since COVID. Pre-Covid I was three days in office and two at home. Switched companies six months ago working for Optum as a Business Systems Analyst. Remote work 100% has its pros, but also has some cons. I’m a fairly social person so not having that human interaction besides teams calls sometimes bums me out. Like others have said though, the flexibility is pretty dang hard to beat and I’m with my family as much or more than any other profession out there. Doesn’t get much better than having breakfast with my girls every morning and being off early enough in the afternoon to still get to have some quality time with them before dinner.

My wife is wanting to find something like this. Problem is she just doesn't know how to find them to apply for them. I'm no help either. She has a lot of experience in boom keeping type stuff and is certified in quick books. I just don't know how to help her find them.
