I did for a couple years before I got in the oil field. It wasnt a good fit for me. Id be sitting at the computer and see a squirrel outside. 5 hours later I realized I was supposed to be working.

Gennerally, a job you can do on the computer. You can do anywhere.

When I’m at work my mind is always somewhere else. Does that count?

I would love to work from home just don't know where to start and being a mechanic by trade, I have no idea what I could do.

I work from home. My office is in NY and I've only been there 1 time and that was a personal trip. It was still mostly shut down due to covid when I went by.

I have a hard time getting motivated to work while I’m at work . Don’t think I would like to work from home .

At least you can nap on the couch at your house, instead of your desk at the plant!

Not having to commute is making it harder to retire. Work three days a week , enjoy my remote co-workers, like what I do, wife is covered by top shelf insurance an extra (embarrassed to say) few dollars every month. My employer know if cuts are necessary I don't want any younger folks to be hit. That said with my time and vacation I would get about 8 months severance. Work is just more fun when you do not have to.

A lot of people do. It's still a job. You have to make at least weekly content.
