Cell Trail Cameras are getting out of hand

Yes, I have used cell cams for my benefit in the past. This is a topic my hunting buddies and I have been discussing lately. My hunting partner and I have agreed we will not be using any next year in our shared hunting area. I wish others would hop on board with this, but do not fault them if they want to keep using them. It’s just got Completely out of hand IMO. Anyone else getting rid of cell cams?

This guy explains my opinions way better than I can… Watch this video if you get a chance.

i ditched them for a couple of years and it was great, way less hassle, cost and less anxiety over checking them. then we kicked the cows off and moved to wildlife exemption and now i have to keep some record of our deer heard and cameras are the best tool.

they have their place but man they just add another stress point

They have their place but I don't agree with them for hunting.
Really don't like posts with the cell cam going off in states that they are illegal.
Shows a lack of respect for game laws, imo.
      Where legal , no issues.

Yep! I've never ran a cell camera. My folks bought me one this Christmas so now I own one. Not sure what I will do with it.

I really enjoyed hunting my folks place this year where we didnt run a single camera all year. It kept excitement high for each hunt where sometimes there is disappointment when a good buck hasnt been seen on camera in a while.

I'm on the other end of this curve and just got our first cell cam up and running. Its addicting checking it throughout the day! Have always run normal non-cell cams and just want to keep the footprint down in some areas and have more data to plan trips to the property around...

I’ve got a dozen of them running 24-7 with unlimited pics. I love it. To each their own I guess. I wish these were invented 30 years ago.

I don’t livestream though, but I can open the app and see the latest up to the minute pics.

I still go and sit in the woods hunting. The cameras just reduce the amount of time I use to waste in the woods not seeing deer.

I have 14 running. I'm not losing any sleep on if other people are using them or not.

I have two brand new cell cams still in their boxes.. Been 2 years now..
I like pulling cards and being surprised or using no camera at all and being REALLY surprised.. Watching minute by minute or hour by hour just ain't my flavor..

Same.....Pics and some 5 sec video. Love them. I'm "hunting" every day... especially on my local pig spot looking for consistencies.

Video is talking about fair chase. Is hunting over a feeder and protein fair chase? I think its just technology development. Agree with it or not. I think it does tend to make people a little lazier. But even if they have to sneak up on it... they still have to be quiet and watch the wind. Hard to say. I don't know that I would use a live stream. However, I do have a couple of cell cameras, just to be able to see what I have coming in consistently.

Hunting deer with drones is next.. Just a matter of time.. As soon as someone with big political power wants to do it it will happen..

No cams/feeders/fences/ect for me. I just get in the woods and find them the old-fashioned way.

I will accept an invitation to shoot a deer over a feeder in a high fence while being filmed by a trail cam. Shoot me a PM and I'll head that way.

                              To each their own.
