What's a duck mount cost nowadays? My last one about 10 years ago cost $200 and took about a year to get back.

I dropped off my wife’s whitetail in menard last October and didn’t ask price but was told 2 year wait. I didn’t like the wait but I can respect the honesty. I did a nilgai two or three years ago locally and was told 12 months and it took 20, that is frustrating.

2yrs? Nope, that is ridiculous , Absolutely ridiculous! How could a taxidermist stay in business like that? When he takes a deer in he is already 2 yrs behind.

Big operation or not- good rep or not , I don’t see how they can stay in business.

I used Wild Bill taxidermy for my Axis. This coming July will make 4 years since he’s had the animal, and more than half the money. He is now residing in New Mexico, and I’m sure he’s out there scamming folks for a hobby.

Not sure on whitetail - have an axis pedestal at Woodbury Taxidermy that is supposed to be a 1yr turnaround and is around $1,100. My son shot a buck 2 days ago that I dropped off the same day for a Euro mount and I picked it up finished today and it was $115

I’m glad I killed all my big bucks many moons ago [emoji23].

About $800 and 7-8 months. I have no complaints.

I always ask for the antlers back as soon as they can get them loose. That's typically a week. Although this is a huge shop and not likely to go under, I want control of the trophy while they get the hide tanned, etc. I'd hate for them to lose track of my rack in their giant shop.
