Salty H20 2023 Thread- How Salty Will You Get??

My salt water ride.
Son had some tire and hub issues he’s been working on with the trailer. Got them done now he’s replacing the lights on the trailer also. Glad he’s down there so I can just show up and fish!

He moved to Rockport so we will learning some new water over there at Aransas Bay.
He has always fished Corpus Christi Bay or south of Bird Island. Hope it’s a quick lesson!

I have the same colored Andros, love it, great boat for Aransas.

Doug and I fished this am. Went to catch drum but mostly redfish wanted our drum bait. Caught this one and had to get a few pics

This coming week I’m gunna try my hand at getting salty and hopefully slimy down In Aransas pass. Not much of a winter fisherman so hopefully we can find a couple.

Any luck in trinity bay with this colder weather? I'm in town visiting family and the brother in law said we might give it a go. In the morning. I think normally we fish up rewards Burnet bay too.

Burnet bay may be your best option. The Kemah flats have produced a few fish but I think the wind will be wrong for that area. The north end of upper San Jacinto bay has been good to me this time of year too. Good luck out there.

Made a New Year’s resolution to catch more limits of trout this year. First trip out was a good start. I sure do love that thump on a Corky!

We sat in duck camp Saturday watching boats run into the flats and park themselves, usually entertaining. One boat launched all three guys out, one of them doing the scorpion in the mud. No kill switch so engine was shooting mud way up in the air, driver jumped back in real quick and shut her down. I offered to tow them out but they had some strong backs and were able to push out.
