New to the area and was driving around introducing himself. "Nice top meet you. Pull up a seat. Can i get you a water?" Naive of me i guess.
Was out of season (mid summer) and we were sitting on the porch when he drove up the driveway. Have never had any reason to hide anything or not be cordial. In fact, I welcome their presence due to all the poaching activity in the area. I opened the "garage fridge" for bottle of water and he asked if i minded if he took a look. Sat there with a "no he didn't" look on my face as he counted freezer burned, dated packs of birds from previous season. He asked and I obliged. Again, no reason not to.

All that said, renovating a house on the property and thinking of renting to DPS in the area.Last edited by BlackHogDown; 10-17-2022, 01:25 PM.

Nothing better than a good old TBH game warden thread…it’s amazing how quick some of us are so quick to surrender their rights just because the guy with the badge wears green and drives a cool pick up truck.
And I hate poachers more than anyone else and follow all the rules to the best of my knowledge. I just like my rights.

I allowed him. Nothing to hide and we were not cited for any wrongdoing. Because there was none. I've never used the word flabbergasted... Naive of me, i guess.

If you suspect neighbors of poaching dozens of deer as you claim it isn't gonna be that hard to get some pc. How about putting out camers of your own? Maybe do a little leg work yourself before relying on others? Posting u0 watching your property lines ect. If they are coming over that often poaching trespassing ect it's gona be pretty easy to get some evidence specially with today's technology.

Always those that got to b!tch about gws, usually because of their bad experience with one or they got caught. BUT, when they need one because of a trespasser or they’re broke down on the lake or did something stupid that got them in bind, who do they call??? A game warden. Don’t judge all because of a few bad apples just think if all gws judging the public this way. Good luck protecting the natural resources of Texas when 95% of Texas is privately owned, which is where a gw couldn’t go. It seems the younger generations of people have the biggest problem with gws. I assume that’s due to this new millennial world they coming up in.Last edited by bowhuntingw; 10-17-2022, 01:39 PM.

This thread argument is indicative of our society. Its no different logic than used for red flag laws.
Some like to pick, choose, and throw away constitutional rights.
Like someone said in another thread on the topic, “why do other criminals have more rights respected than hunters and landowners?”Last edited by Johnny44; 10-17-2022, 01:40 PM.

Texas natural resources seem to be doing just fine despite most of it being privately owned. Haven't seen to many judging either just stating that they should have to have a search warrant to enter private property. Just like any other Leo.
Lol at the comment about the younger crowd. I would lay down some good money that there was much more poaching done by the older generation than there is these days.
