    In my opinion ….. no.

I was always under the impression of 'ran stop sign' was the same if you was going 100mph or cali rolled it at 1mph. After all, violator didnt stop

I know our ticket system didnt have an option for 'ran the sheet out of it'

For the ever-loving hell of anything and everything that makes any sense at all, NO.

I mean, unless they heard someone screaming from said ice chest.

That's what I thought, but they did and even entered our rooms and made sure everyone had a hunting license. This was about 8 to 9 pm at night. I showed them mine but thought it's none of your business at a motel.

              None whatsoever.

I had just a well go into your home and ask to see your drivers license. I saw a car in your driveway and you might drive tomorrow.

From my experiences the younger newer GW seem to have more issues at times than the experienced older ones. Especially if they are short.

Yes, sir, I get what you're saying. But stop signs are the best example of the difference between the "spirit" of the law and the "letter" of the law.

Stop signs came about when automobiles first became prevalent and there were no established rules; people just blindly blew through intersections and people got hurt or their newfangled cars got damaged. They made stop signs a thing so people would be forced to stop, i.e. 'clear traffic.' So if someone slows at a stop sign without coming to a complete stop, while still clearing traffic to make it safe, they may be breaking the law but still fulfilling the spirit of the law: clear traffic at an intersection for everyone's safety.

technically if they or anyone took a beer from the cooler, its burglary of a vehicle. Theft from a vehicle at the least.

i wasnt aware of any of that. whats interesting is our running hot 'lights and sirens' policy says we shall stop at intersections where we dont have the right of way. Does that get broken, sure it does. So does the leap frog rule which IMO is the safest way to run intersections. Wherein you have the unit in front of you stop in the intersection and hold it while all the bells and whistles are going and you proceed till the next one and hold it for the last guy

I used to not care until we got a new warden that likes to drive his truck around our place about 545 pm. Same guy also went to camp and threatened to write one of the guys wives a ticket for no hunting license....she's never hunted and was cooking dinner and hanging out with the kids with no weapons in camp.

That would be a yield sign.

                            No, I get the difference.

Exactly. The spirit of the law is represented in two different but very similar sign laws.

I agree. This happened a few years back in Littlefield, Texas on a Saturday night. Pheasant season had started that morning. One of the many reasons people don't like game wardens. JMO!
