Go back and listen to Soundgarden's "The Day I Tried to Live," "Fell on Black Days," or "Black Hole Sun."

No rock voice before or since like Cornell.

Than Nirvana yes but who wasn't? AIC wasn't better than Sound Garden. They were the most talented and most metal of the grunge bands.

You and me always agreeing on Deftones. Probably my favorite band to see live and in my top 3. Always at a show or 2 in TX annually. For my 40th summer 2020 my wife bought tickets for the Portland show and obviously plane tickets. Never happened. Just attended the make up tour this summer in Houston at White Oak. Those guys are so loyal to their fans they released the last album sans tour during lockdown and gave away the tour visualizers for free on YouTube. Not touring an album cost them tens of millions. They did not tour it on the make up. Played only 2 songs off it. Absolute ******es.

I'm definitely this old. Was stationed in Bremerton during the start of Grunge. Saw a few of them in clubs before they got huge. Sad thing is, there were quite a few bands that I thought were better than Nirvana that never got their dues. Screaming Trees had a great live show and Mother Love Bone would have been the leader of Grunge if Andrew Wood would have lived, but then we wouldn't have had Pearl Jam or Temple of the Dog.
