Favorite westerns movies.

2 other Duke flicks that rarely get mentioned are Rio Lobo, and The Train Robbers…both excellent as is The Shootist.

Never cared much for The Searchers.

Comanche Moon is also very underrated, Woodrow and Gus were very well cast, and Val Kilmer was excellent as always. I need to revisit Dead Man’s Walk too. Streets of Laredo is 100% trash.

Need to add Ward Bond to the actors list if not there. In the Searchers he was Texas Rangers Rev. Capt. Samuel Johnson Clayton. Most might remember him as wagon master Major Seth Adams in the TV show Wagon Train. John Wayne and Ward Bond appeared in 23 movies together and were lifelong friends.
