Whats the breaking point on feeding wildlife?

I see guys in 80K trucks 30K Rangers and paying 5K-10K for a lease, but are complaining about a feed bill. Yes feed is high, but I’m not going to stop feeding because of cost and going backwards. When I think feed is out of control and I have to step back I will no longer be on a lease. Once they figure out people will still pay for it the price will not go down unfortunately.

I’m still feeding and probsbly the only one in my area doing so. I think I have every deer in a 10 mile radius on my feeders.
I don’t like the prices but since I have the means to be a good steward of the resource it’s my obligation to help them out. I don’t want to see deer die due to starvation.
I will however, fill every one of my doe tags during the first two weeks of bow season. I d didn’t shoot enough does last year and am now deeply regretting it

I've cut my feed times way down until the fall season starts. I'm using it more as an attractant to keep them close. I'm probably in a different spot. Just under 100 huntable acres less than a mile from home and three sons who live out of state and will travel back to deer hunt. So long as my boys want to come hunt, I'll try to keep the deer aroundIf it was just for me, I'd sell the place and do one or two guided hunts a year.

I've cut the feed times down to a second, twice a day, on all the feeders. Since all the feeders are inside feed pens, I'm not worried about losing corn to the hogs. But that 6.2L in the Ram Power Wagon can't get over 10 mpg, we can't make it from SA to the lease (Menard) and back without having to refuel on the way home. But the time spent out there, sitting on the porch of the cabin, sipping on a 'cool one', with the quite and a gentle breeze makes it worth while.
