Around here, you will find Lund, Ranger (not the bass boat models) and Crestliner as the three most popular fishing boats.
They handle bigger, rough water really well and are very nice to fish out of.
That is what I would be looking for if I was buying one right now.

Bass fishing here is more popular then you think.

Maybe down south in Colorado but definitely not up here in Wyoming.

Not sure about that. Smallmouth are new to me, but my son wants to do the JR Bassmasters up here.

I'm in an older tracker tournament boat and my biggest concern is landing the boat on beaches - if there's a rock I don't see even a small one I got a new hole to fix

It has been pushed repeatedly. I think we are at late April at this point. Had started off March 20th delivery. I may have messed up ordering the fully loaded “Patriot” package as the dealer seems to think that the accessories may be the hold up on production and delivery dates.

How long did they estimate until delivery?

Disclaimer. I've no experience with either of those specific boats.

I wont speak to the general glass vs aluminum discussion. What I will mention is that all of the tracker boats use the cheapest possible components at every turn. Hinges, switches, hatch locks, etc etc. I had a high end nitro bass boat years ago, and had all kinds of electrical problems with it. When I started trying to debug those issues, I found that tons of other people were having the same issues with all kinds of tracker boats.

O.o I know several people running the older aluminum boats, admittedly the grizzlys, but they bounce them off stumps and run them over sandbars all the time in the river.

Triton is a great boat! You'll be happy you went with the 19' over the 17.5 for sure!

A 17ft Tracker Pro Team aluminum WILL NOT handle big water. Been there done that. Never again!

Don't even need to hit a rock. Hard crashing wave will punch through from the inside out. The stiffeners inside will poke a nice hole thru the bow line on both sides. I called it the bean counter construction method.

I'm happy for you that the clock is winding down....[emoji106] Talked to a buddy yesterday that owns a highly respected marine dealership....50 years. He said he's finally getting some new rigs in, but, they're all pre-sold. He has next to nothing to buy off the lot/display other than used rigs. He's been waiting on one Yamaha engine for over a year. If anybody could get em he could.

This is what happens when you tie your production to foreign countries, even worse when it's an avowed enemy that wants to destroy you.

The dealership does not have a single Triton on the lot. Getting them is evidently just as hard for the dealers for floor planning as it is for getting pre-sold orders in. They only even had ONE Ranger bass boat on the lot (they had a cpl other boats, but evidently the few bass boats they get are spoken for before they hit the pavement). Calling today for an update.

Yeppers, that pantera 2 with a 200 will run with those other brands with 250's. I'm biased to Basscat , went from a p2 to a Puma... best built boat period.
