We re in Plano at childrens there. I voiced my issues and concerns w the staff here today and they all agree with me this is a bunch of junk w the way this has been done. They’ve got him set for endoscopic tmrw. Today it’s snowing and no matter where I go no specialist is going in in this weather so we re ok to stay for today and the scope tmrw. If nothing is seen on the scope, then we will relocate and the votes on here it will be to houston. My parents live in Conroe and I can stay there. But il stay in the hospital with him till we get better. I will update this as we go and I read everything on here and I appreciate the suggestions and experiences all have posted. We ve gota get back to normal. This kids got races to win, fish to catch, dogs to think he trains, birds to shoot, school to go to, hogs to kill, and his family to love. We all love him and I will get him the help to get him better

This place is not doing the job whatsoever. I need to abandon ship here and get him to another childrens hospital that will help. They want to tell me this is in my kids head. It’s not. I am going thru a divorce. That is a fact. Does it affect my son yes. My son has been 100 percent about mom how he feels etc. my son has a high tolerance for pain. He got Covid has ringing in ears, dizziness, will pass out, his stomach is in pain pain. He’s been to Denton regional where they said oh this is constipation, he’s been to just for kids for Covid and they ultimately sent us to childrens where he was admitted. He was here and they flushed him out w 4 gallons of go lightly. So he got cleaned out. His pain still persisted. They send us home. Home for a day and he begins vomiting and can’t hold anything down. I mean anything. His stomach will rumble, his stomach will cringe and cramp violently. He becomes out of it because of the pain. They ran a ct scan and didn’t see anything, yesterday did an mri. No results. We ve been here 5 days now. No answers and no drs or physical examinations. I’m at the point where I’ve given them time I’ve given them everything I can and they aren’t doing a thing. So I have to leave and go else where. The nurses are doing a good job the hospital and drs are not.
I just spent a month at Dell Childrens in Austin. I was very impressed!

If y'all end up coming to Houston, I've got a spare bedroom you're welcome to use as long as you need. We are about 30 minutes north of the medical center. Let me know. Prayers for your boy.

Texas Childrens in the Woodlands could be a good place to start without having to go to the medical center.

Praying for you guys pervis...let peace be your guide in the decision where to go next. Looks like you got good options.

Mrs Artos & daughter are on their way back from Tx Childrens right now...she is an adult now & will be her last trip. She has been going there since an infant & the place has been a blessing.

I don't know if they can help your son or not but that is where I would go.

The only other help I will offer is to pray.
You and your son will be in my prayers!

Good Luck and never stop fighting for your son.
They did experimental heart surgery on me in 1984. Paved the way for many kids to come thereafter.

Man I wish I could say the same as we spent some time there as well and I wasn't impressed. It felt like a new world when we got to Houston. I'm glad you had a good experience.

Prayers up for your son and his caregivers. There is nothing worse than seeing your children suffering.

Many years ago I hired an ambulance and moved my daughter from a "highly rated" suburban hospital here in Cypress to Texas Childrens Hospital in the Houston Med Center.

The medical savvy of the Doctors at Texas Childrens made the place we just left look like a bunch of babbling baboons.

Quick and accurate diagnosis, rapid and effective treatment, and on our way back home quicker than I would have imagined.

If this is serious enough that you are reaching out to a bunch of bowhunters, Pack your bags and head south right now. I would not stop at one of the Texas Childrens satellite locations. Go straight to ground 0 in the Med Center. You do not have wait for a specialist. They have plenty. 21 of the best hospitals in the world packed with the best medical personnel in the world

It's a long way from you but Memphis has some of the best hospitals in the country.

Lebonheur Childrens and St. Jude's. We used Lebonheur when my son was 2 years old. They took very good care of him.

                          Good luck

Instead of trying to drive across the state I’d stop at Childrens Medical Dallas. They will have all the resources and surgeons comparable to cook and Houston.

I was blown away by our month long stay at Cook in Fort Worth when my son was born, but if I was in Dallas I’d start at Childrens Dallas.
