Sitting in 11th place about to get ready for day 2. 12.33 with a 2.70 kicker. 14.39 is leading and 3.01 is big fish. 32 and Freezing rain switching to rain and a high of 36 is what we get to look forward too! Won’t be near as many boats today. Imagine several left yesterday. Hoping to slide up some and finish in the top 10 but money would be nice too!!

Dang I’m tired of fishing in cold weather! I’m buying more clothes.

He fills out the entry forms! That fish was a 2.70 on their scale and a 2.22 on ours. The truth was somewhere in the middle. When i caught her she had that shad tail sticking out her mouth and it was still there when we got to the scale! We had one throw up a giant shad in the livewell that probably cost us a state championship on Palestine years ago. Day 2 was a comedy of errors for us! Lost a big one at the net that cost us at least 5 places, had a fish die, maybe culled out the wrong fish (scale was acting up), got dates wrong and had to quit early to get get all our stuff off the porch because they had somebody else checking in, fish looked stressed so probably was the right call anyway. Haven't lost a fish in years, I'm not sure what happened Saturday. Then there was the weather! It was 32 and raining when we launched and 36 and pouring when we loaded up! That said, onto the next one!

That is some crazy fishing weather. Least y'all caught.
Hoping the weather gets back to warming now and stays that way.

Sadly I'm used to it anymore!

Did finish 13th and cash a check so it could have been worse!

After seeing what they're pulling out of it this week, it might take 45lbs plus to take a top 5

The wind might make it tough but there was a 4.03 caught today on a Rapala scale! That sucker would be huge come Friday or Sat!

Crappie were not up shallow Saturday on Waco, caught one keeper male off a ledge near some brush in 4-6ft. After this stupid week long cold front they should be up here.

Doing maintenance on boat this week, sucked up same dang sand/gravel in a shallow spot on the river and looks to have clogged some cooling, so I am going to figure out how to blow out or flush that out, and while I had lower off I noticed shift shaft seal leaking, so I will replace that as well while I can't fish for a week or so.

Had high hopes to put some serious fish in the ice Saturday. Did pull a 3ish lb bass out of some branches on the bank on a jig. Thought I had one of them Chew and Buff size Crappie for a second!

I've picked up a few lately, going to give a different water system a try this morning.
