We finally had a good day out. Caught a bunch of thick ones. I was jigging, kids on slip cork and minnows. I'll weigh tomorrow when I clean them, I'm pretty sure two of them busted 2lbs. No small fish today. All in 3-6' of water out of branches and trees fallen off the banks. Also, none dark black, so either they're done, or just getting started. Hopefully get another trip or two while they're in this pattern at least. Nice catching them without fancy electronics!

Got a late start today. On the water at 2PM. I was catch-n the larger ones today also. Then decided to change holes. And had a Flex moment. Started my motor and it died. Then couldn't get my motor to start . 5 miles from the ramp. Started fishing my way back with the troller. Stopped at one feeder creek and caught a few more. Then decided I had 2.5 hours and 4 miles to go. Better get going. Got about a half mile and my lithium battery finally got used up, for the first time . Haven't had it on the charger in a year . Sat in the middle of the river for half an hour. Then, magically, my motor started. So I idled all the way back hoping it wouldn't die. When I got there, I did a couple throttle test to see if it would die again. And wouldn't you know it? No, it wouldn't die!

Loaded it up and drove home, after cleaning what fish I got to catch. I'm just glad I didn't make it to my pre-mo spot 16 miles up the river!

Hey the good news is yours started again! [emoji23]

Where are you fishing that you can run that many miles up a river? That sounds cool!

We may hit the little lake by the house this evening. But not sure yet.

Buff, not looking for spots but what do you try to look for on pines to find the spawning fish? Structure, grass, rock bank, sand bank? Iv never been able to catch them during the spawn on pines. I usually just stick to chasing the catfish during this time lol
