2022 Crappie Thread

I'm still waiting on the water pump kit.

I'm having heck getting the tach to work.

I'm over my head at this point- either a wire is split somewhere, regulator is bad, rectifier, capacitor, who knows.

Doing lots of research. Really like to have a tach to know what I'm doing throttle wise.

I would order a Tiny Tach. Works great and just wraps around the spark plug wire. Cheap but gets the job done. Have you checked Amazon for the water pump? That's where I've bought before.

Water pump is in the mail. Ordered OMC. WIth my luck I wasn't risking an Amazon pump kit.

I've run a tiny tach before. If I have to go that route I will but I've got two working tachs I'd rather get one going. I trust them more.

Went out yesterday and water temp was in the lower 40's. Found piles of fish but had a hard time making them chew. Had to hold the jigs motionless right in front of them for an extended period of time to get bit. Sure was nice out though

Looking at my calendar this eve I’ll be eating Johnny’s pizza in 2 weeks at D’Arbonne and having a butterscotch milkshake and sweet potato waffle fries at Spencers in Grenada MS in 4 weeks!! Life ain’t bad!!

I have a TinyTach on mine. It also keeps up with the total hours run. I've had the motor since new. And had the Tiny tach on before I took it out for the first time. Makes it easy to keep up with maintenance. Or check RPM when changing props or weight in the boat.

The fish are biting, and there's hogs to be kill-t. Gotta go!

We will have to have fried biscuits and cole slaw that identify as key lime pie and fish dip this year unless you want to volunteer for those 2 Jordan! Rick is gonna be in FL chasing turkeys instead of at Murvaul hanging out with turkeys!

Water pump kit came yesterday. Going to install this afternoon hopefully.

Think I have Tach issue narrowed down to either bad rectifier, or a split somewhere in the harness. I know how to test it now so hopefully I can narrow it down and try and chase some fish this weekend.

Good week for TV next week. The good guys will be on American Crappie Trail at Truman Lake and the Crappie Masters National Championship on Lake D’Arbonne. Head back to D’Arbonne in 2 weeks and Grenada in 4! Life is good!!

They will be on Youtube eventually. I think they post the show on their Facebook pages as well but not sure! Hate they're gonna show D'arbonne right before that tourney but not sure how much footage they will have of us on the water, maybe just a blip at the scales.

Tourney's next 8 weekends in a row! 20MPH winds tomorrow and freezing cold the next one. Sounds like normal tournament conditions to me!

I'm glad my one man/boat tourneys with one entry don't have to put up with your kinda weather. They get canceled all the time.
