When she found out she was knocked up, she basically told Jaime it was the Yellowstone or her. She viewed the Duttons as vile during Jaime’s campaign. She said she was prepared to go it alone and he had 9 months to decide. I assume they’ll fill in a bit on where she’s been, but likely she’s just been raising the baby waiting to make sure he was separated from John. I guess buying his own property sealed the deal for her.

If I remember correctly, she was Jaime’s political strategist -slash- public relations specialist when he was thinking about running for…Livestock Commissioner, I think? And as most of them are, she was very mercenary.
My take? The only reason she’s back is because Jaime’s father sought her out and, together, they are going to use Jaime (desperate, pathetic twit that he is) for their own nefarious gain. There is no loyalty among these thieves.

She was his campaign manager when he was running for AG, but she was for sure trying to ride (literally and figuratively) up the political ladder. He withdrew from the election and they split up, but she gave him the ultimatum I mentioned earlier.
I don’t think she has anything to do with Garrett, but I do think they will both try to continue to manipulate him against the Dutton’s.
Lol guess you fall under the “God, Buster Welch and George Strait” reference! But living in Kingsville for ten years you can’t walk in any King Ranch museum without something about him and the quarter horse program down there.
I thought Casey said they were going to stay with her dad for a while and then Rainwater comes out to the sweat lodge with the boy and he talks about her having a warriors heart. Later in the show they were at her Grand dads though.
Her Dad is big on the tribal council I think hence Rainwater and Mo present at the sweat. Also I still think he sees Tate and Monica as a way to get the ranch back in tribal hands.
My wife almost refused to watch it last night. The content is so thin and sparse in the episodes that it’s not worth the time. Then you have nearly 20 minutes of commercials. To be honest, one could probably watch the first and last episode of the season and be completely filled in on what is going on.

Honestly gotta agree, although watching it on prime speeds it up quickly.
I haven’t watched it yet but you’d think if it was filmed on the 6’s one of the older men would be Boots O’Neal.
Unless he shows up later I think Corbin is the Boots stand-in. I know watching interviews with Boots he doesn’t seem keen about the spotlight, but Corbin has some of his mannerisms in the show.
I can never quite get a bead in Rainwater’s position relative to the Duttons. Is he friend or foe. I always thought he was the enemy, so what’s he doing in the sweat lodge with the kid? Who lets their young son go into a sweat lodge without a family member present? I think the significance of this may have been glossed over, perhaps as a result of editing.
He’s said before him and John still have Chess to play and I think he’d rather fight John then Market Equities, especially with Beth over their Montana division now.

Back in the 1st episode this year, when they flashed back to the scene with Dutton's great grandad (who is part of the 1883 series) and he let the indian's bury their leader on the ranch...where no one could find him, and cut out a beef for them....that's gonna come back into play with Rainwater. That'd be my guess.
