I read that magnaflow makes them as well but you better have a guard ready to be installed as well.

I called him as well. $280 picked up....$300 installed. Said Biden's admin has made steel jump. I guess its worth $20 to let him get under my truck and do it.... Last I saw in 2020 it was $220...
Sounds like a great deal but I can't get too far out of Montgomery county for $20. Need to see if he provided the Torx bit for the security fasteners. Sad that we have to go to such extreme measures to protect what we worked for.

When I talked to him he said there have been four steel price increases since the beginning of the year.

Not sure I got security fasteners....Keep me updated on that. If its something more secure, I'll look into it myself.

I watched a video perhaps posted by one of his customers. The fasteners appeared to be Torx with the pin in the center to prevent access without a special bit. Although these can be defeated pretty easily the whole idea is to make your vehicle less attractive than the next one over.

I guess I need to get under there and check to see what he installed mine with. He didn't mention them

Yep, I have to have photo ID card with the recycling place to sell my scrap.

They got my dads tundra at IAH a few weeks back. $7500 for two replacement cats. Insurance covered it and now has a desert eagle plate. Word is some Toyota dealers are putting the skid plates on to protect themselves after having so many issues with theft on the lot.
I do have a hard time understanding how two cats are 1/6th of the cost of the trucks window sticker.
