sure wish we could just go back to good ole reliable trucks that didn't have technology telling it how to run or when not to run. too many options creates too many problems

Exactly why I drive a tundra.

We have (4) 5.0 fords in our fleet, 2 of them needed intake work with less than 60k. Will see how these 5.0s with 10speed hold up.

Tina had that issue with her 2012 Yukon.

Thanks for the info. I was an unwilling participant in the Chevy R&D program. I owned a 6.5 chevy diesel. I don’t care to join the Ford program.

My 5.0 had a cylinder deactivation @ 72,000 miles. Misfire on cylinder 5 turned into a 30 day head replacement @ Gullo (mine is a 2013)

There’s an easier method that doesn’t cost a dime and doesn’t trick the truck into thinking it’s towing a trailer which makes the reverse camera not work and could potentially alter the shift points.

All Ford F-150 13th gen vehicles come standard with Auto Start-Stop feature which offers little benefit but is of great annoyance and potentially harmful...

But you have to plug it back in to tow or trailer lights wont work.

I think he's saying that one of his cylinders went tango uniform and required a lengthy and costly repair that was not designed into that engine.....

Exactly, I was just being a smart •••. Low compression on cylinder lead to intermittent misfire.

You can unplug a wire from the driver side floorboard area and you don't have to push the button to de-activate it. Just need to plug it back in before you haul a trailer.
