Semi Live from S Texas - Nilgai, Whitetail and Hogs

Im going to try to do a semi live hunt this weekend. Im down at LRGV Schalaben Unit. My hunt was suppose to be a East Lake but on Tuesday they change it to this tract. They got one fence line mowed and there is a pipeline that is maintained, other than that is is really thick. I put in 8 miles yesterday and saw most of the place. The low tank area have grass that is 4 ft. tall. There is suppose to be 8 of us here but I was the only one in the parking lot this morning ing. I saw one nice mature bull yesterday, a young bull, I jumped about 5-6 other nilgai, 2 whitetail does, and about 20 hogs. I walked in this morning about a mile and will hunt this pipeline road til about noon

They got the land in 1985 and it hasn't been hunted since. The hogs didn't even act scared of me yesterday. I walked by one at 10ft and he didn't even run off

What brand / model gun stand rest are you using?

A 2lb carbon fiber camera tripod and I made the saddle myself. I saw a video on youtube

Thats a lot of walking in a pair of snake boots for sure, but some of the area i was walking in, I couldn't even see my waist
