It looks like a fair fight. I think Brutus had a little more reach, but in the same weight class.

        Badazz Brutus Mauls Marsupial

Give him a treat for the Hogboy.

I have a friend with 2 jacks and she's buried at least one cat and a squirrel that were to slow to go.

Ive seen this happen before. I had 2 dogs jump on a possum and sling it around for a few mintues. Next thing you know that dude appears stone dead. The dogs just sniff it and move on. Some time later he gets up and walks away. Its an awesome defense. They can even disguise their breathing.

Pound for pound, those little dogs have more 'go get em' than any other. I have a female that is 1/2 rat & 1/2 jack, she loves a good fight.

That is cool, congrats to Brutus. A friend of mine has one that caught and killes mice at the deer camp. Best mouse trap I ever had.

On a side note, you might want to add a stabilizer to that slide on "YOUR" playset. It's not built for the big boys like you.

Congrats to Brutus on the natural killing instincts. Cause we know you didn't teach them to him.

Get that boy a haircut would ya Breezy.

after he had thrashed him 5 or 6 times it was bleeding all over his neck area as well as from his mouth. I went a head and hit once with a shovel just to make sure he was done.

Yes. They just need a lot of exercise/play time daily. He stays outside throughout the day and stays inside from the time my wife gets home and throughout the night. He has been great with no problems. He's very spoiled.

It was left here by the previos people. But yes it would need a stabilizer if i was to use it.

My German Shepard must have killed a dozen of them...she would take her food bowl and put it in the middle of the yard and coerx them in the yard and then put the choke hold on em...nothing funner than trying to deal with a dead opossum first thing morning before work.

                          Way to go Brutus!

My wife's mini Dachshunds killed a couple of Opossums last year. You wouldn't think a small dog like that would take on an animal larger than themselves. I wish I could get the grit that her small female has in a larger dog, it would make a hunting machine. She can track too, you just can't see her in the tall grass and brush.

Wow! Brave dog. Pretty cool. I don't think 115 pound yellow lab could be that ferocious, well maybe.

I let my lab out in the backyard years ago and was surprised to see a big opossum standing in the middle of the yard. Duke went right for him, he got within a couple of feet before the opossum did the best acting job ever. Looked like he got sniped by a 300 magnum. Just fell over. Instantly dead. He stayed like that, mouth open and tongue hanging out, for a good 15 minutes. He then slowly lifted his head, looked around, then took off.
