Jason you may well be giving advice that can save lives. Get that Colonoscopy done folks.
No B.S. Nothing to it really. Because of my history of polyps, I have to get one done every three years and do it faithfully.
This is great news Jason. Glad to hear you are on the mend and the weight loss is coming along. Weight loss will kinda snowball your overall health. The more you loose, the healthier you get and the better you'll feel. Keep it up.
And that is a great reminder about the colonoscopy. The older we get the more we need to stay on top of things like that. It's just part of our new older self. I think I'll get mine scheduled today before my old self forgets again!
Seriously though....Its all kinds of jacked up with what I had to eat to not overwork my colon. The low residue style diet is everything you have been told not to eat when on a diet..(white rice, white bread, mashed potatoes and pasta.) The biggest thing that helped me was my portions were cut into 1/3s. That made a significant difference in everything I can and do eat. Secondly, no sugars (including BlueBell) ....none! Thirdly, no fast food unless it involves grilled chicken or now a salad. Now that this part is over, I'll be dropping the low residue diet that included the white rice, white bread, mashed potatoes and pasta (in very small portions) and go back to more green vegetables in their place with the same meat. If i do stray with say some pinto beans or pasta portions will be small. And of course, continue walking and working like hell in this heat, revamping my yard and house..... and then sweating like a mad dog at the deer and pig lease. Just staying active.
Bluebell has a zero sugar vanilla ice cream if you can find it. I found some at United the other day. Only 110 cal. per serving as opposed to 240 cal. It tastes good also.
