    But hey, it was cheap!

    A good quality unit installed correctly with warranty is typically going to be 3-5k per zone around these parts.
    I think I've seen that guy.

        I just replaced my inside and outside units, no duct work.
        Inside unit = $680
        Outside unit = $850
        Few fittings = $5-7
        Labor = sweat

        Was quoted $3200 labor. [emoji44].

          Bids ?..... I'm not accustom, to speaking out of turn...….
          I think it's a pretty simple install myself...….
          If I were 30 years younger.....I'd do it myself...….
          But, ….. those that do it...apparently, don't agree with us...………
          btw--- affordable units, doesn't necessarily equate to quality...…….
          But, if you've got a bid of $2500...…..I'll take it...….

              This is the unit I had installed in my bedroom. Went with a higher end and head.

              12,000 BTU Heat Pump Ductless Mitsubishi GL model for Master

              $2,949.00

              Installation was not on an exterior wall, so it required tying in to the plumbing and additional cooper. Also, note this is not the cheapest bid I got.

              So saying that, the $2500 is doable with a Trane or lesser unit.
