Sorry you are going through this. I don't question that we need to protect children from abuse of any kind, however, it seems that CPS had a lot of authority to act on sketchy information that is second hand.

A whole lot. During several investigations, both as PI and LEO, caught a couple of them fabricating information.

Final update:

Got a letter from CPS, basically stating that they found that the allegations were not true, and the case is closed. Also my sons attitude remains much much better. What a crazy month

Glad it has been resolved. I too had someone call on me. I was trimming trees out front and had my kid in the front end loader with the pole saw. Someone called about endangerment. It was what it was and painless. They came out twice then called and said it was closed and sent a letter. I still have a hard time trying to figure out what the caller was thinking.

Luckily the kids can't buy them on their own, so good job parents.
