I'd take away the phone, iPad, computer and any other form of communication until this is over and then he'd have to earn them back.

There’s a gentleman who has posted on this thread, whose stepson just finished that academy. They both seem happy with the deal.

Final update:

Got a letter from CPS, basically stating that they found that the allegations were not true, and the case is closed. Also my sons attitude remains much much better. What a crazy month

So sorry you are having to deal with this. Parenting is tough. Do what you feel is right. You are the parent and not a best friend and know whats best fr your kids. Definitely involve the friends parents so everyone is in-sync with discipline.

Op, ignore all the bad advice some of the guys are giving. With CPS you are guilty until proven innocent. Take this from someone who has been there. If you go into this with a bad attitude they will keep your son much longer than you would every want to imagine. I hope you get one of the 10% of CPS workers that will listen to you and are compassionate toward you and your wife. Get a good family lawyer that is familer with CPS. Hopefully you son will tell them what really happened and you will be reunited soon. Soon to CPS is usually at least 1-3 months.

Hopefully, your son's eyes were opened to actions = consequences and it is positive actions moving forward.

CPS...I know they mean well but they have some of the stupidest, lazy, child-less idiots working for them.
I've been right where you are and it SUCKS to no end. Talk about guilty before you can prove your innocence! Sorry to hear it Brother and keep the faith. Kids just don't realize how ignorant they really are until the teeth of reality bite. That usually occurs with a very painful life altering experience unfortunately.

Depending on the finding you have have your record cleared with CPS. Also you don't have to let them into your house or participate in any interviews. Depending on the details sometimes its good to play along and get it over with and sometimes perhaps not.
