      I always liked Leakey. Bandera might be in there too. Side note, I hunt in NW just outside of Freedom. When we need anything we have to run to the big city of Alva. My BIL also grew up there, his family owned the tire shop in town.

        Man I thought I'd be the only one to say Fredericksburg. For now I'm glad i'm close enough to the hill country as it's growing on me.

                        Well im an east texas boy and it would be hard to get use to no shade. But i would have to say i could see myself retiring out on a place anywhere from Bandera area north to Goldwaithe. Really like the San saba Llano area. Alot of good hills but still some mesquite pastures as well.. I miss our deer lease we had in Cherokee.
