we have had the ability to work from home since March - i did it for a few weeks and then found that I was getting depressed sitting around the house all day.

Been coming to the office 4 days a week since then and it's kinda nice, only the President, The COO, and the Sales Manager are here most of the time, so it's kinda cool hanging out with them when there is not a bunch of other employees here.

I don't think I could work at home in my current line of work - my normal job is catered to someone that has my ADD and being at home just sucks

I've worked remotely - laptop on my poling platform on the flats skiff, with a good friend casting to redfish on the bow before. Been Remote in various forms since the 1990s. Worked in Austin remotely for 2 straight years, when I lived there. Got out of there as fast as I could

The firm I support - as their IT Dude - finally realized, they can work anywhere with INET connectivity. Those that didn't have solid Internet connectivity at home, use mobile hotspots via AT&T. Those with solid and reliable INET, either use their own computer gear or I send them home with pre-configured WYSE dual screen systems, setup for remote access to their daily server.

It's always been kind of funny to me, this technology has been around for literally 2 decades and many businesses are just now realizing the potential and benefit of remote access/telecommuting.

If deadlines are met, quotas met, production continues with profit - WHY NOT MR CEO?!?!?!?!

Sad it took a Pandemic for many firms to finally come to terms with the concept.

The CEO hugs me.......and we aren't light in the loafers either

To answer the question - productive no matter where I work from.

Yup. It's easy to get distracted, I've done it before but I usually tried to not do it for many days in a row. Cant do much about it other than make sure you have a dedicated work space and try to eliminate distractions.

Not having trouble working from home. As productive here , if not more, than in the office. But then again I was remote for a while before this job.

My wife on the other hand is tired of me being here. May work from the deer lease on Sept 1-2! Already booking my calendar until 10am and after 4 pm those two days just in case!

May start looking for full-time remote only positions.

The other day, while on a Zoom conference call, I put my phone in my pocket and forgot to turn off video. Yes, I was going commando.

There is an adjustment period for sure.
I was working at home before the china virus so was geared up and ready. I had to repeat about 100 times "honey, I'm at work now and really need to get this done. I can do that around 5 o'clock " . Then she had to work from home and started to get it. But now she's getting ready to go back to her school and amnesia is setting in again. men are from mars, women from venus, and only men have a penis .....

I really have a hard time working from home. But that’s because I work in a chemical plant and if I’m at home I can’t see what valves to turn. Plus I rarely get any days off. Our engineers are a different story, they rarely come out to the plant. Kinda like it that way.

Yes that happens often with me. I’m lucky most times I can go to the office aside from now or go visit my job sites regularly.

Zoom meetings have to be the weirdest thing about working from the house. Its a constant effort to keep the kids at bay while on those meetings. I have seen some pretty funny Zoom Meeting Fails though.
