I had a doe that, but just 1 of her shoulders did it. It looked normal until she put weight on it, then it looked like her shoulder was trying to push out of the Hyde at the top of her back. The place was in Palo pinto county. She made it at least 2 seasons maybe 3.
Looks like somehow the muscles and tendons are too weak to support her properly. Maybe a long fall and landed with her weight on her front end or somethin fell on her that she couldn't support. Strange for sure.
Birth defect. Those are the shoulder blades that are sticking up. Must have some kind of deformity in the development of the connective tissue. Main reason I go this route is look how "short" the front legs appear. Also, the top of the blades are at about the same height as the top of the hips. Interesting gal for sure...
I'd shoot her first day of the season. I'd be too afraid she has a genetic anomaly or double recessive that she is passing on to her offspring. Once I shot her, I'd have the wildlife biologist come get her if they wanted. If it's the result of an injury, oh well. Meat in the freezer.
