Menard 2020-2021 Season

Deer are still moving as there is little to no natural browse. Really coming to feed and rut is still going although slowed from a week to 10 days ago. 80 degrees out there right now. Deer all around the house and in town at 3:00 PM as they are hungry.

Rained until about 0845 this morning. Saw around 15 does until 9am. No bucks showed up.

Wind has picked up really good here out of the WNW.

The wife knocked down her 1st pig tonight. Weird day, we didn’t see any deer driving around which is very unusual for our place. I’m hoping an exotic stumbles by.

Been snowing since 3:30 and is still coming down. Just North of Menard 3-4” of accumulation on the ground now. Lots of limbs down too and power has been out since 8 am this morning.

Thanks Tony. We are making it, camp definitely isn’t as comfortable without electricity and running water. Hopefully we get electric back today, but not likely since I’m hearing more limbs snap as I sit in the stand right now.
