My Ryobi brushless tools work great for the price.

I've been happy with the Dewalt 20v. Haven't used anything else, so I can't compare them.

        Cordless circular saw recommendations ?

Love my DeWalt tools. Have sort of become a junky and got my whole family hooked.

I see moreDeWalt and Milwaukee on location than any other by by a pretty big factor.

I liked how DeWalt had 260+ tools... we currently have 30+ different tools and haven’t been disappointed with a single one.

Like said before, buy decent batteries and be good to them! They will be good to you

We build a lot of ramps with the Texas Ramp Project and I use my Milwakee cordless quite a bit on 3/4" plywood, 2/4 and 2/6 lumber and it has worked very well with decent battery life. TRP bought us a Ryobi, and it will work but is pretty week. Probably stay with a name brand and spend the money on a good one and have no regrets. JMO based on experience.

            Thanks for all the input.

One I didn't see mentioned is Ridgid. I have a few of their cordless tools, so far they've worked great... I also recall they offer "Lifetime Battery Replacement" but from what I'm reading, there are so many hoops to jump through it makes not worth it. (by design).

Seem a bit over priced too.

I bought all new Dewalt Brushless XR tools on black Friday 5 months ago. I watched lots of the guys reviews and feel they are more unbiased than anyone. Lots of good information on this video and on their YouTube page.

I was going to go with the Fuel but found a nice Fuel drill/driver package that included a “free” M-18 tool of choice and I got the circular. Extremely happy with it so far.
Good tip... I'd forgotten about the "free" tool package deals. I'll see what Home Depot has available... if the line to get in ever goes away

I like my Black & Decker set ... Drill, Circular Saw and Saw - Zaw... all the same battery and plenty of Power to get a Job done.. Get a couple more batteries and you'll be set.

I really like my Milwaukee. Wish the had the one that looks like a worn gear saw when I bought mine .

I have knocked both impacts off the ladder multiple times and still work like a charm. I am looking for a Dewalt 18 volt circular saw if anybody is trashing their old stuff or upgrading.
I made all the wire harnesses in the 18v line back in my maquila days (other than the circa saw as it had copper tabs we spot welded to the batt connector vs crimping terminals to the high temp teflon wires. The destruction test room was a hoot & they would take a tool & drop it from 7-8' onto the concrete, run it for a minute & repeat to help them find any weak points. The saws would cut into stuff they were not intended & the B&D leaf bagger was sucking up gravel to try & destroy the impeller. Crazy stuff.

The 20v li-ion batts are way way better than the nicads & if you don't want to replace tools, you might be better served to get the adaptor & run 20's on your 18 line vs replacing 18v batts more often. Just a suggestion. The 20v stuff is really spiffy & you won't regret the upgrade. I'll check on a 18 circ but not sure where it is & may be out at the lease if I still have it.

I use these in a shed building business. Great stuff. For battery interchangeability this is the sweet spot. If you want stronger and less available tools you could go wormdrive 60volt

My dewalt 60v flexvolt saw will absolutely eat. It has the power of a corded saw! I build fences and decks on a regular basis and the flexvolt system is the way to go! Not as big of a fan of a 20v but I ran that saw into the ground and it still keeps kicking! The 60v also has a light for where you cut which is super handy!

I'm about to find out about the lifetime warranty... my Ridgid orbital sander seems to be on the blink. While it "works", whenever I shut it of and set it down, it does the initial power down like it always has. Only now the disc continues to spin freely for about a minute.
