Not gonna lie, I'd go nocturnal too. I probably wouldn't even have to. Traps would do a lot of the work. I don't have far to travel by foot and I can get me some skunks, turkeys, pheasants, pigeons, doves, quail ,porcupines, raccoons, bobcats, rabbits, coyotes, snake s,turtles, beavers, armadillos, prairie dogs and fish. Use parts from four legged critters and birds on jug lines for fish and turtles and parts of fish and turtles to catch mammals.

Unless it was cold I wouldn't necessarily go after animals I couldn't take with me. I'd use a slingshot and ball bearings to take porcupines and rabbits. Foothold traps and snares for everything else. I know where chickens are so I could go get eggs and a chicken every now and again. I'd jar and pickle as much as I could for when times get hard and food is scarce. I'd kill and eat domesticated animals before moving on to wild, harder to catch animals.

I hope things never come down to this. But it's something I've thought about quite a bit.

At some point it will no longer be a question, but a necessary act of survival.

I live in the middle of the city. I can sit in my lawn chair with a cold Natty Light and shoot cottontails all day long. We're over run with them. If it really got bad, that durn big *** dog next door would make a few meals.

A handful of coyote snare set the right way could feed you for along time.
