I had a 2011 Dodge Hemi crew cab in excellent condition I sold for $6k
It had 200,000 miles on it but maintained incredibly.
2005.... you should take the 7k and be happy

It is worth what someone will pay for it and there are plenty of others to choose from in the used market. Not trying to beat you down just that the market is what it is. You may get a few dollars more because it is in good shape but so many thing start going with just age. All rubber and plastic components just need a little more wear and stress and will start giving it up.

They offered me 16,000 for a deleted 2014 Chevrolet 3500 single rear wheel with leather and bags. 174,000 miles b&w goose neck hitch, ceramic tint, well maintained.

I’m in the market for another company truck. PM me if need be on trucks for sale. 1/2 tons or 1 tons. Always looking.

Not worth the 6-7K referenced in OP.

If you have been offered that better take it or make decision to drive 15 year old truck.

            5.4 or 4.6? If it’s the 3valve 5.4 motor it’s worth a couple thousand less.

I’m in the market for an F-150 but I’ll never own a 3 valve 5.4 again.

I had a 04 silverado that had 260,000 miles on it and never had the motor, trans, or rear end rebuilt or replaced...it would have kept on ticking but someone hit me and insurance totaled it....it all has to do with how well the vehicle is taken care of that allows them to make it up there in the years....I
For reference, I just replaced it with another silverado 17 years old with every option available that year and paid 4800$....its in great shape also, so Id say the 7k isn't unreasonsble

If you can get 7 for it, let it go. Do you know what a replacement 5.4 , installed , cost ?? It’s more than what the trucks worth.

There is a floor also. Especially a good running truck in better than average condition. It’s not $7k but I would think it won’t drop much below $5k

I traded in my 2006 FX4 back in September. After negotiating the price of the new truck I asked them how much they would give for it. They offered $4k and we eventually settled on $7K trade-in. My truck was nice and the interior looked brand new. 155,000 miles.

I wish I was closer so I can ask what his bottom dollar is.

Just keep this in mind every time you drive it or do a repair/maintenance....you are saving yourself $70k.

Low mileage for a 15yo...but it is still 15.

                              .....and God Bless America.

I have a 2005 tundra and am in the same situation. Once you hit a certain point in value you have to just commit to driving it until it dies or sell it cheap. I hate payments and can't stomach what the new ones are going for so I would end up buying used anyway. I decided since I bought this one new, at least I know there's nothing wrong with it so I would just keep driving it. So far so good.
