Is there anything specific y’all do to test binos before you purchase them whether it be in the store or wherever you may be. I.e. set up a target in lowlight etc.
I think it is really difficult to judge how good binos are while in a brightly lit store. You can really get some good info from websites that review binoculars. Read the “what to look for “ section of this website:

I have Leicas trinivids and they are good, but main thing is to get them outside and look through them for 30min. If your eyes hurt then they aren’t for you.

I have no doubt that these are the best when it comes to glass.
There is something better however.
Use the same money (perhaps a little more), and get a thermal monocular.
The one thing the thermal does that the binos can't do is prevent things from hiding. Day or night, you'll know. Once you know where something is, any binos are fine at that point.
My pulsar thermal monocular is 10x more valuable then the best binocular IMO.
