    Binocular Test

Is there anything specific y’all do to test binos before you purchase them whether it be in the store or wherever you may be. I.e. set up a target in lowlight etc.

I just buy Swarovskis. No need to test anything.

I think it is really difficult to judge how good binos are while in a brightly lit store. You can really get some good info from websites that review binoculars. Read the “what to look for “ section of this website:

Binoculars are incredibly useful for many sports and activities. Find the top binoculars that you can buy today using our review guide! We discuss the best hunting binoculars, birding binoculars, astronomy binoculars, and more.

I laugh every time someone says X glass is better than Y glass and they determined this in a store. Or mid day at the range. LOL

I very rarely say anything is "the best".

Except Swaro, Swaro is the best.

We took my neighbor's 11 year old grandson hunting earlier in the season.

We were talking about my swaros and I told him to look through them. He said they can't be that great. He put them to his eyes all he says is, "Oh."

I like it when I'm guiding and the hunter is using his own binocs, right before shooting light, scanning all over and then I hand mine over.

I should really get a commission or something, I've sold several pairs for them.

This is the truth but I had to settle for Zeiss.

I have Leicas trinivids and they are good, but main thing is to get them outside and look through them for 30min. If your eyes hurt then they aren’t for you.

I think this is really good advice. Nearly impossible to evaluate optical quality inside whether we’re talking binoculars or scopes.

Just gonna make a weird suggestion here.

I have no doubt that these are the best when it comes to glass.

                              There is something better however.

Use the same money (perhaps a little more), and get a thermal monocular.
The one thing the thermal does that the binos can't do is prevent things from hiding. Day or night, you'll know. Once you know where something is, any binos are fine at that point.

My pulsar thermal monocular is 10x more valuable then the best binocular IMO.

                              Just my 2 cents.
