I'm new to coffee...6 months in.
I have found that using a percolator is way tastier than a Keurig. We own both. I like it plain and black so a medium to dark roast is best. We use cold, filtered water from the fridge. We just eyeball the water and the coffee grounds...it always comes out pretty good.

The upstairs maid doesn’t like the downstairs maid
Because the butler and my man servant are both on holiday
One in Scotland, the the other in Kent ,
So the Abby is in disarray
Maybe the games keeper will have some coffee for me before the grouse shoot this morning
