He had a mess on his hands trying to prove that the deer was killed on his property and not poached.

I had a "free" lease on the San Marcos river. LO just wanted the hogs trapped and shot because the neighbors complained about them. It was thick and nasty and full of pigs. He said in trade I could hunt deer, turkey, dove etc...
I cleaned that place up over 2 years until it looked like a well groomed park. A lot of time energy and fuel spent.
When he finally came to look at it, his mouth dropped at how nice it was and then booted me out so he could lease it out. It happens.

I do my dead level best to even keep anyone from taking pics of me with bux i kill. Any photos of me and a deer are taken with MY phone or camera. That is the only way to have complete control of how they are used. When the trail cam craze hit and then a camera in everyones pocket, all of the guys that hunt with me had a hard time understanding why I was so adamant not sharing pictures, but they got on board and get it now.
I see people that post all their big deer and the big deer they kill and I will never understand it. But I must say, it keeps me entertained and i enjoy seeing them, so by all means....keep posting!

I hunt so many places people have no clue where I post my deer from lol. I could have written an article a couple times on deer for TTHA but I didn’t because I was worried about losing that particular place.

My lease implemented a rule this past year for this very reason. No posting of our deer on social media.
Can't fault the owners, they're making money now. But I don't invite people bird hunting anymore. And when we post locations we use fake tags like Lady Bird Lake.
