If you have cows watch out they will destroy a popup. You may have to put a panel or wire around to keep them out. I put one on the north side and one on the south side for wind. minimize the size of the opening. Wear black. Use cedar as a cover scent. Set up early so they get used to it. Hand corn at the desired shot distance.

Brush is your frand, especially if you can set it under a tree for more shade and concealment. I carry a short handle bow rake and remove everything to bare dirt and a path out the back side.
Also most popups have bow windows in the corners so I set mine kitty cornered so the corner is facing where I want too shoot. Gets me deeper into the blind as well.
Besides black anyone have good results with Mossy oak bottomland? Seems dark enough, wished the new eclipse camo they got wasn’t a Walmart gimmick. I’d buy a heavier jacket then what they got it in.

Clean your floor out of the blind of rocks and debris. Then spread cedar mulch in the floor. Quiets the blind, fills any holes with light you have around bottom, keeps out the bugs, and is great cover scent. Bag costs $3.33 at Lowe’s.

I like it off the ground. The deer just look under it.

I used to hunt from pop ups but got tired of replacing them every 1 or 2 years. And I never liked them directly on the ground after I found a couple of cottonmouths in one in the dark. I built a platform to set them on after that. After elevating my pop ups I didn't have to brush them in and deer never paid any attention to them. Here is a tip for helping out with scent, find an old metal coffee can put twigs grass ball moss dry leaves in it get inside the blind and light it once it gets going smother it and let it smolder be sure you are wearing your hunting clothes. Another thing i did as soon as i got the blind I would set it up at the house and spray the inside with a light coat of flex seal to water proof it.

Mainly all I hunt out of. I leave mine out all year, for the deer to get used to it and for hunting pigs throughout the year. Put it in the shade so it’ll last longer, I don’t brush them in at my lease. But it depends on the place and the deer
I used to wear all black and a face mask and all that, but now I just wear any ol t shirt or a jacket if it’s cold
