Havent updated this thread in awhile!!! Brakes have been completely rebuilt, all new fuel systems from saddle tank to the carb, officially proved that the motor is toast, getting ready to pull the front clip to make better access to yank the motor and trans.

Ill try to post some pics later this weekend.

My first brand new truck was a '77 F150 with a 351M. Midnight Blue Metalic. Wish I had that one back.

Had a 74' F100 4x4 in HS. Some great memories, like fitting 8 people in a single cab after a bon fire. And yes, I am of Mexican descent but the other were anglo.

Now the real trick will be how to make it better than 4-6 mpg
                    I don't believe I ever saw a 460 eng that got better than 8.
They do have a lot of down low pulling power.
                    Nice clean old truck!!!!

Sweet. I have a 75 with the 350 Cleveland until I rolled it. Then I got a 78 baby blue 150 with a 351 Windsor until it was totaled in a wreck. I loved those trucks.

In the late 80’s I traded an inflatable raft for a powder blue ‘72 with a 351M/400 and C6. It ran but with the stuck lifter it sounded like an old diesel. Yours is cleaner now than mine was then. Can’t wait to see the finished product!

Need to update this thread.... motor and trans are back from the builder(s)!!!! Ready to get this thing on the road!!!!
                          The quick version:
460 with a ton of head work, Cam Research Cam and Edelbrock ProFlo 4 EFI, Headman Long Tubes....
C6 with a fresh rebuild and shift kit (the soft one, not the stiff one) and a 1200 Stall Torque Converter....
                          All new interior....
Still need to Buff and Polish the paint. Not getting any paint work.
