This Texas V Georgia matchup reminds me of the A&M v Tenn matchup in the Cotton Bowl under Coach Fran.

Fran had his improved year in the Big 12 and was overmatched against a deep SEC team. We couldn’t match the size or debth and got crushed in the trenches. It was embarrassing and a realization that we were no where near the level of competition.

Texas is still ranked higher, played for a conference championship, had the best win of the year and is playing in New Years 6 bowl, has two freshmen all Americans and will have a junior QB next year that is a stud.

Ahhhh, Bowl season, anything can happen and probably will.

The win in the RRS shot them up in the rankings and ultimately propelled them to the conference championship game.

The loss in the championship game had little to no affect. Still ranked the same and playing in the same bowl.
