We scratched out some divers and a spoonie, wiffed an a pair of greenheads and dropped what we both thought were a pair of canvasbacks into tulies and ugly mud that could swallow you whole when I checked the mud with a wooden pole from the boat.

Our boat and another friend's were the last 2 duck hunting boats out of the parking lot which serves much of the south end of SF Bay- we squeezed every minute out of the season before it closed.

Time is flying.. Today Chris & I are celebrating 1 year of marriage. It seems just like yesterday walking down the isle & saying 'I do'. We spent the weekend visiting a retreat in hill country. We had the times of our lives & enjoyed every minute. They did have a 3d range & we got to shoot some. He hasn't shot with me much but he is really getting the hang of it!! I'm glad to be able to share another hobby with him.

Just thought I'd take some time to shed some positive light in what seems to be a dark time... As a hunter we all understand what it means to rely on only ourselves and our abilities to bring home food, and nobody can take that sense of pride from us. We are the backbone of the true AMERICAN way and we can hold our heads high above any criticism that may come our way. As a hunter we are the stewards of the land, and we would have it no other way. As a hunter, we all understand what it means to live life to the fullest. So next time you get criticized for living your life just remember that you are one of the few who has taken sole responsibility for your life and continue living it to it's fullest!!

I remember when I was about 8 and lost my Grandfather. My understanding of the world and family and loved ones was absolutely shattered. My mom told me then that God gives us wonderful people to know, and love, and learn from but we need to remember that they are His angels and they are only on loan to us. Sometimes God calls them back home for reasons we can't understand and it is our job to love and cherish those that are special to us whole heartedly since we never know how long we will have them.

This explanation has stuck with me over the years when I have lost many who were dear to me.

My own family is sore from all the hugging I've been doing this weekend.

Pretty day. Marathon to celebrate buying BP gave me the day off...

Congrats on 1 year Nanny and Chris, and many happy ahead.

Like those weights Russ, they look like they work good.

Fixing to head over to a local logging company and do some testing for them. Got 12 cups and the breathalyzer ready to go, and a bunch of gloves for sure. Hope none of them get stage fright, I'd like to be finished pretty quick.

Enjoy the day Tim! It seems everyone loves seeing you about as much as a bank seeing an auditor!

Y'all have a good day and be safe!

So once again this is the first Saturday morning after the close of waterfowl season. No withdrawal shakes- yet!

Tim, those come with that aerator. It's made by aerway, and if you want a food plot forb making machine that's it. Not as good at brush as a Lawson but pasture management I think it outshines the Lawson.

I'd love too have the drop seeder attachment for it

That is nice Russ, my FIL was asking if I could manage to put the disc across his garden spot yesterday so he could get started with it. Hopefully I will have time today, if not tomorrow for sure. I'm really wanting a PTO tiller for my tractor to handle the garden stuff.

Testing went good, had 2 we had to wait out for a sample but we got through it. Met an electrician at the office at 1pm to show him which parabolic lights to change out and deceide how to fix the porch lights. Boss was there so I didn't have to stay so we headed to Sam's for a few supplies for the house. I get one of those kid in a candy store urges about once a year in there so we ended up with a shrimp ring, egg rolls, and corn dogs for snacking. Had my eye on the "Cars" potty seat for my grandson but my wife said he didn't need it yet so I grabbed him some diapers and a box for his little sister that will be here in April.
